Our Double Decker Buses are getting a make-over!

Restaurateurs from Rapid City South Dakota have purchased two 1960's Bristol red-double decker buses which were originally imported to the states from England back in the 80's and 90's.  Owner's of the Firehouse Brewing Company and Wobbly Bobby British Pub in Rapid City recently purchased the buses from Double Decker Bus Co. in San Diego, CA. and have taken on the grand venture of transporting the buses across the country where they will be used to transport tourists in the downtown Rapid City area.  Rapid City is the gateway city to such landmarks as Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Mountain.

But before these 13'8" buses take off on their journey, maxing out at top speeds of 45 miles per hour, they will be getting a face lift.  Artists from Writerz Blok are currently in the process of painting these buses with graffiti art.

Writerz Blok originally began as a unique approach to prevent vandalism in southeastern SanDiego, and is now one of the country's most innovative youth art programs providing education, opportunity and leadership through programs in muralism, screen printing,  and urban art..

This artistic process may be viewed, photographed, etc. at JC Towing in Chula Vista, California, 2501 Faivre Street

The graffiti art is expected to be completed by day's end.
